Nice K3LA horn on that GP40-2LW.
Any update fromthose that use this? I'm curious since they just built one by us.
I would rather take the train!
And this did NOTHING to help with congestion.
Most the naysayers here are just old fogeys who hate change. These interchanges work; people adapt to them quickly once they are in place. They are proven to save lives, and they are actually cheaper to build than a traditional road/freeway interchange because they do not require any special left turn lanes, which force roads to be wider. [Of course, converting from an existing traditional road/freeway interchange to a DDI costs more upfront than doing nothing (leaving it the way it is), but the overall reduced accident rate should more than offset the cost over time.] Finally, those commenters who claim that DDIs can potentially cause drivers going straight on the road to have to stop twice should realize that that can also happen at a traditional road/freeway interchange, since at each end of the bridge there are traffic lights that cycle to red for traffic making left turns (onto or off of the freeway) in front of cars going straight on the road.
Genius!
Sidewalks and turning lanes in Greenville NC! Huzzah! This is a badly needed expansion
Hello! How long can a driver's license expire before renewal on period 1 or 1.5 year? in Monroe NC
Guess you only care about first responders, and not just normal people who could be broken down or changing a tire on the side of the highway?
You really just want to turn anything into a negative connotation. Obviously they care about regular people broken down too. And that is also why you can contact emergency or roadside services to assist you on the side of the road and bring their own vehicles to protect you on the side of the road. No first responder wants to be the one scraping you off of the pavement after you get run over by distracted or drunk drivers.
BEHIND THE GREEN MASK on you tube
This also hinges on cyclists following the rules of the road
I see more accident happening with this new bypass it’s too much going on
NC voted in ID to vote. what is the problem but to let illeg. to vote.
Greenville Blvd should have a bridge over the Evans Street intersection for through traffic...

Please move interchange further east from Wyse Fork to save the Wyse Fork Battlefield
They were fighting about this 28 years ago when I first moved there in 1996. I'm not sure it'll ever get built. Smdh
That little girl was minced meat. Yikes.
I'm blown away at the idiotic comments below saying this is good. I drive it everyday and i'ts horrible. You are guaranteed to stop at 2 stoplights if you are going straight. Not to mention you are forced to swerve 4 times. I encourage everybody to drive one and then compare it to a normal intersection where you go straight and not forced to swerve crazily multiple times. It's guaranteed to slow down traffic (stifling throughput) while increasing the danger from being forced to swerve multiple times only to end up back in a straight line you started with. More govt stupidity and waste of our money.
100% agree. This is the cheap plastic version of the cloverleaf. It saves DOT money at the expense of driver convenience (and don't think we'll see a tax rebate anytime soon). It adds TWO stoplights. The planned 540 / Holly Springs Rd. interchange is already backed up and now there are 2 more lights. I swear, someone at the DOT spends too much time on the toilet reading up on the latest and greatest "innovations" in traffic management. Remember the fiasco when they opened up the RBC center? Their blunders are everywhere throughout the state. You can't find a single strip mall built in the last 20 years that you can reasonably enter and exit in a logical manner. All the while builders are allowed to construct 200 home neighborhoods on 2 lane country roads with no traffic improvements. The state is becoming undrivable.

Hi

The only problem I see is if you need to go straight... I'm guessing this state doesn't have service / access roads.
I feel like this will just add to the congestion.
8 new traffic signals lol. Evans is the new firetower.
